Tracking the position of real ads on baidu could be easy. You might just simply do a search on baidu for your main/ brand keyword, then you would have an instant impression on your paid ads. However, if you did this outside of China, and your baidu PPC campaign only target for China, you couldn’t find your ads on baidu. And it is meaningless even if you could find your ads. Because you don’t know if your ad copy shows correctly in all targeted locations by a single search. And it is time consuming when you have a very long keyword list. So, let’s find out how we could track the ranking of our paid ads today.
It is useful when you just want to check several keywords from a different location. That is why we introduced it in Top level baidu PPC management before. It is not recommended if you want to check butches of keywords, or you want to check ranking very frequently. Baidu gives us limited number of using this tool in a time frame.
The shortcut of rank tracker on fengchao home
This tool looks very powerful, you can see rankings for a group of keywords from a particular location in just a minute. And there is a shortcut to edit the bidding price. It will refresh the ranking for each 5 mins as well. However, the result is not true at all. Please see the example in below. If baidu made this tool to track real ranking, each preview will count as an impression, the CTR could be meaningless. CTR is the key to determine the keyword quality score. So the ranking you see from this tool is calculated from baidu fengchao system, it is not the actual ranking.
